A multistory hotel being put up in Downtown Chicago plans for over 350 rooms with over 20 different styles, plus a variety of kitchens and other public areas. Sunrise Electric was called upon to partner up on this project and to assist in facilitating a more efficient and economical process for the installation of the hotel room electrical and communication plates and devices.
A large general contractor and power company enlisted Sunrise Electric to be their material management partner on the project. This project spanned a period of 3 years, and covered 3 different states in the Eastern US.
It was at the end of the year, during the holiday season, and one of our contractors wanted to take advantage of the quiet time of the year and do a Cat 6 wire pull for one of their customers over a weekend. To save on cost and labor, they had determined that it would workout best if the Cat 6 cable pull was from a bundled reel.
Sunrise Electric was brought in to assess the exterior lighting system at a commercial building in Chicago. The lighting was insufficient, and the costs of lamps, ballasts, and energy was very high for the customer. The loading dock’s existing system was running thirteen 400-watt fixtures and three 250-watt metal halide fixtures, and the entire system was pulling 5,950 watts of power.
As part of ComEd’s relighting program they put up the tasks of replacing and recycling the old street lighting with new updated energy luminaire heads. This project involved providing logistics and storage of material for various relighting and smart meter initiatives.
Sunrise Electric Supply provided material management services on a tollway project for the Illinois State Highway Authority (ISHA).
